About Eurojackpot

About Eurojackpot

Eurojackpot is a transnational European lottery played in 19 countries, including Germany. It is coordinated by national lottery organizations, with draws held in Helsinki, Finland. The jackpot starts at €10 million and can roll over up to a maximum of €120 million. Drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at approximately 9:00 pm CET.

Game History

Eurojackpot was launched on 23 March 2012, as a European lottery alternative to EuroMillions. Initially, players selected 5 numbers from 1 to 50 and 2 Euro Numbers from 1 to 8. On 10 October 2014, the range of Euro Numbers increased to 1 to 10, making the jackpot harder to win. The game underwent another change on 25 March 2022, adding a second weekly draw (Tuesdays) and increasing the Euro Number pool to 1 to 12. The jackpot cap was also raised from €90 million to €120 million.
